Domain /root no access

Hi!
I got from someone else a Cpanel handed over and have this prolems…

1. after a login it seems that passwords get not saved, I have to insert them again in ftp programs or notepad++ (and in notepad++ its anoying everytime)

2. I want to place images in folders, available to download … domain/folder/images, but the root is not available, you get an error 403

The website is an open cart web, and has maybe these modifications from the owners…

Is there an .htaccess file in the root of the domain? If so, can you post what’s in it?

Options -Indexes

Do you want to just download the images, or do you want people to browse the images directories in their browser? If it’s former I’ve no idea what’s causing the 403, if it’s latter you need to comment/remove Options -Indexes (or replace with Options +Indexes if that doesn’t work).
