Does ini_set("sendmail_path","/some/path -t -i") not work?

hi all, another mystery.

our hosting company changed sendmail from /usr/bin/sendmail to /usr/local/bin/sendmail. the php documentation says we can change this using

ini_set("sendmail_path","/usr/local/bin/sendmail -t -i");

in the top of the file with the mail() function but it doesn’t work. we tried the same path in php.ini on our dev machines and it did work, unfortunately we don’t have access to the .ini on prod.

any ideas are appreciated.

http://php.net/manual/en/mail.configuration.php

sendmail_path  	"/usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i"  	PHP_INI_SYSTEM

PHP_INI_SYSTEM means that entry can be set in php.ini or httpd.conf, not with ini_set (http://php.net/manual/en/ini.php).

Thank you alex.w747, that clears that up.
