I am trying to create a blog for a music group that might use audio and video plugins.
As long as the host supports PHP (and most do) you should be OK.
If you use WordPress, many people suggest hostgator for security and other reasons.
You do get what you pay for tho. You pay a little more you get better service and better hosting...
Stay away from the really cheap hosts as they wont give you the support when you need it. Yes its a generalisation but often the truth.
