Many times my blog posts or tag pages will show high in SERPs within a few days of posting them. Will they remain high in SERPs, or does Google discredit them after a while? Do regular web pages stand a better chance of remaining high?
Short Answer: no.
The reason they tend to appear high in the SERPs is due to the QDF (Query Deserves Freshness) part of Google’s algorithm. Unless they manage to continue to acquire good back-links, they will eventually drop as the posts go ‘stale’…
