Difference between Storefront Creation Services and Shopping Carts?

I’ve read the list of shopping carts post:

and have one question… There is a section called “Browser-Based Storefront Creation Services” and one called “Shopping Cart Solutions” what exactly is the difference?

You can host “Shopping Cart Solution” on your own server.

As for “Browser-Based Storefront Creation Services” it is SaaS services.
You cannot move it to other hosting provider, etc.

Actually with the shopping cart software the source code will be available to you but for as example http://www.zscart.com which is providing you to the online store in minutes and it is providing as SAAS. It is browser based ecommerce solution.
