I tried installing individual pakages on Windows Vista Business and couldn’t get anything to work. So I uninstalled apache and tried WAMP. Sorry to be ignorant but I’m not sure where to find Windows System Tray. I clicked the WAMP icon on my desktop and absolutely nothing happened. When I checked in my browser I got the IIS page even though I disabled IIS before I started. Please can someone help me get WAMP running?
Have you restarted the computer either after disabling IIS or after installing WAMP?
Yes I have restarted the PC several times
Ok first of all the windows system tray is located where the clock is, at the bottom right corner. I also had problems with wamp on windows 7, its the firewall blocking the ports it was to much of a hassle so i installed ubuntu.
try closing the windows firewall, virus scanners, etc.
then install it again
