CSS headache

I have just installed WP Job Manager (Job Alerts) which works great functionality wise, however I have CSS styling problems with the theme I am using.
I have been trying to do the custom CSS to make it all look better, but it just doesn’t seem to want to render correctly.

  1. My first problem is at http://www.indoprofessionals.co.uk/my-job-alerts/
    I need to write the correct CSS to render the table correctly. Help please?

  2. Second problem is at http://www.indoprofessionals.co.uk/my-job-alerts/?action=view&alert_id=1408
    The table showing the example job in my alerts is all over the place. Does anyone know how to style this?

  3. Last problem is when I try to ‘edit’ the Job Alert
    The ‘form’ is quite basic, looking at the code, but whatever CSS I apply, I just can’t get it looking compact.
    and inline.

Any experts out there who can help, much appreciated.
thanks Chris

Hi chrisking78 welcome to the forum

There is a problem with the HTML. The table is HTML4 specs but the page is HTML5

That is

<table>
  <caption> ...
  <thead> ...
  <tfoot> ...
  <tbody> ...

should be

<table>
  <caption> ...
  <thead> ...
  <tbody> ...
  <tfoot> ...

Thanks, I have now updated the table order. It doesn’t seem to make a difference to the layout however.
It seems to be something to do with the options when you hover over the job title (e.g. Results, Edit, Delete, etc) http://www.indoprofessionals.co.uk/my-job-alerts/

Where exactly are we looking? Is this something you only see when signed in?

I can’t seem to see which elements you are talking about :slight_smile:
