CSS and HTML validation tools

any help for finding
Free CSS and HTML validation tools apart from w3C.

I’d say those are the best tools to use. I mean they are the most aware of the web and the standards.

You can also try http://htmlhelp.com/tools/validator/

Thanks.

Can we have something where we can only provide our external CSS file for validation?

Sure. Have you tried this? http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

Just type the full address of the CSS file location (e.g. http://www.example.com/css/style.css )

Why would you WANT tools apart from the official source?!?

to validate if i can see some different features that might be available in other options.

I like this free W3 compliant Firefox validator tool:
http://users.skynet.be/mgueury/mozilla/

The feature that I like best is immediately after any web-page is displayed a coloured icon appears in the bottom right corner. Icon colours are red, yellow or green indicating errors, warning or valid CSS respectively.

Clicking on the icon a new window opens with three panels, source code, hints/warnings/error with dynamic links to a comprehensive help.

Another useful feature is Tidy, ideal for removing errors and for formatting.

It only takes a couple of minutes to install. Give it a whirl and I bet you will not remove the installation

download Web Developer addon for FF. THE tool for validating CSS, HTML and 508 compliance all in one place.

wow sounds good information, Thanks everyone for valuable inputs.
