Creating Simple Buttons

Is there a way to make simple - yet professional-looking - buttons using CSS2 or HTML??

I don’t have Photoshop, and just need some basic buttons (e.g. “Next>>”, “Submit”, etc.)

Thanks,

Debbie

P.S. If anyone knows of any online wizards/websites to help me make nicer looking “glass-effect” buttons that would be a bonus!!!

Since you don’t have photoshop, you can try alternative graphic editors, such as paint.NET, Artweaver, or GIMP.

However, if you google for button generators or glass button generators, you’ll come up with a few hits of web services that will generate a button graphic with a few mouse clicks.

I have a broken arm, so that won’t fly…

Can you recommend some specific ones??

Debbie

Sorry, I don’t have any personal recommendations beyond that. Not all generators are created alike–some focus on various aspects of a look and feel, so you’ll have to try a few out and see if you like the results.

Off Topic:

I usually use photoshop

When I’m rich and famous I’ll consider buying it. (And when I have 2 arms!!)

The free alternatives to Photoshop aren’t as feature rich, but still useful once you learn them (GIMP is a good one… it’s very unfamiliar to Photoshop users, but if you aren’t one already, it’s just something new to learn).

GIMP is probably the best choice if you can’t afford Photoshop.

Except I said I cannot use Gimp right now…
