Create RSS feeds for my website

Hello,
I do not know if this is the right forum to post this thread, so forgive me if I am mistaken.

I want to create rss feeds for my site and I do not know how. I tried syndic8 and I felt like I am lost in a jungle.

Can you please help me on how to create rss feeds?

Thanks.

go to feedburner

Actually I went to feedburner but it gave me an error:

We could not find a valid feed at that address. Here are some possible reasons this might have happenedThe feed URL you entered is:

http://www.my_correct_website_address.com

We could not find a valid feed at that address. Here are some possible reasons this might have happened:

Is the feed valid? Confirm its validity now.

The feed your site already creates needs to be “valid enough” to work with FeedBurner. This post from the FeedBurner Help Center explains why technical validity matters.

Are you using the URL of the web page or the URL of the feed?

FeedBurner is usually able to “auto-discover” your feed from a web page, but in this case we didn’t find any related feeds. You may want to enter the URL of the feed directly.

Is the URL is misspelled or a copy+paste action didn’t work?

If that’s the case, please try again.

So, I am missing a step, what is it?

A feed is an XML file. You need to create the XML file with a text editor or a generator and then upload the file to your web server. Feedburner will let you see how many people have subscribed to your feed. If you want to use it, you need to give Feedburner the URL of your feed (the XML file).

To create an RSS 2.0 feed in a text editor, search for “RSS 2.0” on google to find the RSS 2.0 spec. Sitepoint won’t let me post a link since I’m new to the forum. The spec is very readable and examples are provided. If you don’t want to edit text files, you’ll need to use a piece of software to generate the XML file and then upload it to your site. I don’t have any to recommend, but perhaps someone else will.

Most content management systems, like Wordpress, will also generate feeds for you. Look in the control panel of your CMS if you are using one.

Hi there, I have finished my RSS feed, tested it and all works perfectly, but when I remove an article from my feed it still showed in the reader. How do i get the reader to see the article is no longer part of the feed??
