Copying imgs embedded into Word to Photoshop

hi

I’m trying to copy imgs embedded into a Word file into Photoshop…

I select img in Word, right-click copy, then when paste in PS it pastes with the handles!! (those handles around img appear in Word when you select the image – why on earth does PS include those handles when pasting the image? you can’t remove them, it’s like they become part of the image… it pastes img as vector object… I tried rasterizing but handles remain… )

would appreciate suggestions/solutions…

thank you very much…

Not sure if it’s the best way, but one thing I’ve done in the past is to save the Word doc as a PDF, and then export the images from the PDF. Works well for me. You need something like Acrobat to export the images from the PDF, though.

thank you very much…

what I ended up doing, which I saw suggested somewhere else, is convert the Word file to a web page, then you can view/download imgs in the usu. way…

thank you…

Ah yes, that’s a good idea. Easier than the PDF way for sure. I’ll have to remember that!

Even easier is just to do a screen capture of the Word doc and then crop it so you’re left with just the image you want.
