Copy WP site to another server

I want to try my hand at wordpress by toying around with

So im trying to copy it over to my server,
http://fixmysite.us/urturt/
I copied all the files, and the database (changed all instances of urturt.com to fixmysite.us/urturt) to my server and everything seems good
But some of the images dont show up and the links in the menu lead to an error.

How can I get around this?

Has the site owner been of no help?

all he gave me is FTP access and the login stuff to cPanel
