Content does not display in native Android browser

I have tested this site in many different browsers on different platforms, and it runs and displays correctly. By coincidence I discovered that the native Android browser only displays the background and not the content.

I have tested the site at Browserstack, where it also displays correctly on all devices. But when I open pages on the site in the native Android browser on my Sony Xperia (others have tested on Samsung Galaxy), the content disappears.

Usually I find solutions by searching on the Internet, but this one is still a mystery.

Does someone have an idea or a hint?

I don’t have an android phone to check but it renders content on the iphone ok.

What do you see exactly? Just the leafy background?

At a guess I would say that the fixed header could be a cause as older android did not support fixed positioning at all. I don’t like the absolutely placed #side either with its immovable left margin of 80px which will soak up space on smaller devices. I would try removing the fixed header to see if that was the cause and may help to narrow the problem down or exclude it from the equation.

You don’t seem to have optimised for mobile anyway so most displays will be shrunk to fit.

The native browser for android 2.3 seems to display it correctly. There are a few minor bugs in the portrait view, but it works for the most part. Landscape view works fine.
