If we configured WordPress to send via SMTP, we could choose which username appears in the headers by authenticating to an email account.

If we sent email via SMTP authentication using mysmtp@cloud.example, then that is the username that would appear in the headers instead of the system username.

How to manage SMTP without using a plugin or the best pais plugin to manage SMTP and stable release.
