Putting US politics aside I came across this site today. Is it just me or does it seem like a complete misuse and overkill of technology. I mean all it is is a simple static page with a form for a petition. Do we really need to be using react, webpack, and whatever other complexity is hidden for something so small and temporary in nature. I looked at the source code and was a bit in aw over how complex and convoluted this seemingly simple web page was. I’m an advocate of web APIs and javaScript frameworks but for this all that seems so unnecessary and costly.
