A couple of years ago, there was a small amount of talk on the boards about a piece of software (free to use) that would give the rgb of any color in its crosshairs.
Any one know where I can get a copy of it?
thanks

Is the color picker program from here what you mean?
There’s a free addon for Firefox that I use a lot:
I will take a look. But in any event - thanks. I have heard of that before and needed to take a look at it. But had forgotten the link.

I will spend more time on this site. My visits have been a bit few and far between over the last couple of years. Many things have changed on the site but the one constant is the willingness of the registered members to respond to anyone in need.
Thanks again and I will check out the other recommendations.

ColorSchemer Colorpix (mentioned above) is a decent tool though I prefer this one (as a freebie):
It has everything that you wanted plus a few other nifty functions
Color Detector is another one that does what you’re asking. Windows only, though.
Alex, Color Cop has a lot of functionality that Color Detector lacks. Think I’ll switch. Good recommend!
I used it for years Max, it was a great little application. I only changed when I paid for ColorSchemer Studio because it had a lot of added functionality I make use of on a daily basis. One of the things I liked about color cop was the number of formats the color could be represented as (on the right click)
