Coding a customizable homepage

Hello,

I wanted to know that does anybody has any ideas where could I find some info on coding a customizable homepage.

Example would be something like BBC homepage where the user does sees whatever he has selected.

I know it can be done with cookies and php for code + javascript for drag & drop can do it, but just wanted to look if I can find some more info on it.

Look for some mysql tutorials

You can have content saved in a database and that can change depedning on what you select
