ClickBank Order Form Submit Count Problems?

Is anyone else having a problem with ultra low conversion rates on their ClickBank ‘Order Form Submit Count’ when compared to their ‘Initial Sales Count’?

Here are my last three months:

My order form submits converted to sales at 73% in August.

My order form submits converted to sales at 74% in September.

My order form submits converted to sales at 79% in October.

This month they are only converting at 42%.

This week they are only converting at 23%!

Could it be that most credit cards have gone bad in November?

Please note that I have not altered my site or my HopLinks.

I sent this message to ClickBank Support and you will not believe the response I received.

The “Hops per order” ratio depends on several factors. These factors include such variables as market demand for the product being sold, the advertising methods employed by the affiliate, the amount of advertising being done by the affiliate, the buying habits of the target market, as well as a myriad of other factors - some of which you have control over and some that are out of your control.

Generating a sale can, therefore, take anywhere from a few dozen Hops to several hundred or even a thousand Hops. Different products convert differently and the success of each affiliate varies.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Thanks for any feedback.

Do not forget that we just passed the the Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Cyber Monday period. You are dealing with a lot more competition during this time of year, since this is when a lot of companies make more than 50%+ of their yearly revenue. And a lot of other sites are running a lot of the same type of incentive ads.

You might see this trend continue throughout the holiday season. if it continues past January 15th or so, then I would get worried.

When CB has problems / makes changes to their cc payments failed submit orders go through the roof, nothing you can do about it i think.

In addition to a bad credit card, CB tells me that a bounced submit can even occur when someone submits the CC form incorrectly.

As you say, not much we can do.

Sales have recovered nicely as of late even though the bounced order form submit rate is ridiculously high. Just odd that it could go from about 75% successful for 3 months, then drop down to 42% successful for a month.

A bank change or a tightening of requirements could certainly be the culprit, but I don’t think we’ll ever know for certain.

Thank you both for taking the time to reply.

Best wishes for continued success in all your online endeavors.
