Is anyone out there currently utilizing Click to Call functionality or know of some sites that are effectively doing so? Examples would be great.
With click to call the number is irrelevant, the system dials it for you.
Does this work even if you don’t use a Voip system?
Most Click to Call systems simply create a bridge, dialing out to the customer and then to you, so what system you are on is not an issue.
Click to Call is a really powerful feature
and one that we’re actually going to be
adding to our website to attract more
sales.
Live Chat is a huge customer source for
us now but Click To Call is definitely a
smart way to go.
I’ve used Click to Call in a few businesses before with great results. Generally click to call helps in higher value conversions and can be very useful in driving incremental volume from customers on the fence.
Check out some of the case studies from www.estara.com who offers this technology to medium and large sized businesses.
Especially with so many website owners doing
everything possible to AVOID having a customer
call … this can be a real differentiator in your
business.
For those of you that have been involved in an implementation of Click to Call, how did you ensure system security. How do you prevent from attacks from things like robots that may send out simultaneous requests unindating support personnel
A good call vendor is really all you should need.
By Call vendor are you referring to a company like eStara or are you talking about a Telecom vendor? We may be leveraging an internal CTI feature we have on our Intranet portal. Due to this we will be developing in house without using a 3rd party solution.
eStara is one. There are also some other smaller, self-service vendors that offer this solution for SMB.
I have checked out your suggestion, estara, it seems to be a good solution, but certainly a bit pricey.
I am looking forward to seeing what William and PremiumWebCart have coming out.
I would really like to add this to my business, but I just don’t feel estara is the right fit for me. At least, not right now.
Hi Phil
I cannot tell you about our click to call “trick”
on the forum or I’ll get dinged for self promotion.
Send me a PM and I’ll tell you how to do it.
If it is relevant to the thread and not a blatant self promotion you will be ok William.
OK … so what we’re doing is using a “cheater”
method to provide “click to call”.
If you really think about it, nobody knows
how they get a call back, they just know that
when they enter their name and phone number,
their phone rings shortly thereafter.
So instead of using a true “click to call” system,
we’re hooking it up to an SMS system that will
then send the “click to call” info to your cell phone,
or computer, or where ever you can receive an SMS,
and you’ll be able to switch this around as needed.
Obviously, this is not a true click to call but the
end result is almost the same. The customer never really
knows it’s a “cheater” system, and it fits the price
point very nicely with simple to use and familiar
technology.
Not as powerful, not as sophisticated I know …
… but for a small business you can see how this
can be a great alternative.
I’m sure there are a ton of programmers on this
forum that can set up their own system like this
in less than a day and save a ton of money over
paying for a real click to call service.
