Hi, can anyone recommend a cheap uk based dedicated server? It doesn’t currently need to be that powerful, min 2ghz processor, around 1gb ram, min 10gb disk space, min 100gb metered traffic, 100mbps connection, I need linux and cpanel, and cheap additional ip’s. If anyone can make any recommendations based on the above spec I’d be very grateful. Need something as cheap as possible.

Hi, thanks for your reply. The cheapest dedicated server uk2 have is £69, and is a bit high spec for the requirement. It just needs to be pretty basic. Also forgot to mention it needs to be fully managed.
If you expect to pay less than £69 for a dedicated server without massive compromises in spec (i.e no raid, atom processor, shared or 10mbit port) and still have decent fully managed support you’re extremely optimistic. You should probably look at a VPS solution if you don’t want to spend a realistic amount on a dedicated.

As far as I know that is the way to get the offers from SUBSCRIBED webhosts only 
“subscribed” meaning that they’re advertisers (they pay for each offer they send a customer). Nothing more, nothing less.
For 10GB space , I feel VPS is a better option for you they are cheap and you get root access as well.

A VPS is going to be your best bet really. For a dedicated server cPanel adds between £10-20/month for the provider in licensing costs, so worst case the £69/server they are only getting £49 to cover the hardware, power, bandwidth etc.
I think you can check EUKhost.com for your hosting requirements. I have heard great reviews about them and one of my friends had told me that if someone is looking for web hosting services in the UK, there’s no other company better than this one. Though, it might not offer you servers for very cheap price but the service they offer should definitely impress you…
