Changing post to page ruin SEO?

I am using wordpress and I plan to change my post to page will it ruin my seo in some way even if the permalink are identical…

Part of Google’s algorithm considers how often pages are updated (freshness). It is not necessarily a bad thing to improve your old pages.

If the permalink is the same & don’t do anything drastic, then by and large your rankings should remain the same.

Create each page with each specified category and move further by adding posts under each page/category. This will increase the overall keyword prominence to each each page/category.

Its not a bad thing at all. At the end of the day, Google doesn’t care about pages vs. posts (in fact, pages count very much the same as posts, and vice versa), but what matters is:

  1. Unique content
  2. Relevant content
  3. Great content

In other words, CONTENT! :slight_smile:

Keep your permalink is same what it is now. If are doing content changes then I think it will not affect that much.
