Change system file to normal?

I aaccidentally (And foolishly) downloaded a spyware and it changed a few file from normal to “System” File.

I can’t replace the file. i can, however, edit. But, i was justwondering:

is there a way i can change a “System” file to “Normal” file??

Open a command window, navigate to the directory and use attrib to change the attributes on the file.

cmd: attrib -r -s -h filename.exe

If it hasn’t messed with security permissions, and isn’t locking the file down in some other way, this will remove the readonly, system and hidden attributes from the file.

Thank you gollux. that fixed it.
