We have a domain name (anchoring.com) we purchased last year from BuyDomains.com. We subsequently registered the domain, with whom I thought was register.com. The whois information seems to support the idea that it was registered through register.com
However, register.com reports there is no accounting available for anchoring.com.
Am I going crazy here or am I missing something??
According to whois.net i got following info.
Registration Service Provided By: Namemedia, Inc.
Contact: partnereu@register.com
Domain name: anchoring.com
so you should contact with this email address or Namemedia, Inc. ( may be BuyDomains.com is a sister website of Namemedia, Inc ).

NameMedia is not a registrar, nor is BuyDomains. So you were correct initially–it was a Register.com name. Glad that it was all settled; just wanted to clarify for anyone looking at the forum. If you do buy a name through BuyDomains.com, you should ask about the remaining registration period associated with the domain and take steps to purchase additional registration in order to protect your purchase. A lot of registers outsource or branch off so it looks like you just registered on a sister site. Not a big deal, just a little confusion you seemed to have figured out.
