Can you change width and height of TinyMCE

Hey,

Can i style the TinyMCe editor so that it is a specific width?

I am using the advanced TinyMCE…

If so, where can i do it?

Regards

[FONT=“Georgia”]Of course you can!

Just change the width and height of the div/iframe.

Hey,

Thanks, well i tried this:-

tinyMCE.init({
height: ‘200px’,
width: ‘520px’
});

The height change works fine, but the width does not… :confused:

No, I meant in your actual HTML or stylesheet.

<div id=“TinyMCE” style=“width:500px; height:350px;”></div>

Hey,

I think i maybe doing this wrong, but i tried resizing the textarea box and also with the code you suggested:-

				<div id="TinyMCE" style="width:500px; height:350px;">
		       <form method="post" action="" name="thread">
	 		<table border="0" cellspacing="4" cellpadding="30" style="border:1px solid #000;background-color:#F6F9F0;">
			<tr><td  style="width: 670px">
			<table border="0">

			<tr><th align='left' style="height: 28px">Subject &nbsp;
				<input type="text" name="txt_subject" style="width: 595px"/></th></tr>
			<tr><th align='left' style="height: 28px">Message</th></tr>
			<tr>
				<td valign='top'>
				<textarea name='txt_message' style='width:501px; height: 161px;'></textarea></td>
			</tr>

			<tr><td>&nbsp;</td></tr>

			<tr>
				<td align='center'>
				<input type='submit' value='Send' name='submit' style='width:100px;'/>
				<input type='submit' value='Clear' name='clear' style='width:100px;'/>
				</td>
			</tr>
			</table>

			</td></tr>
			</table>
			</form>
			</div>

Can you see where i am going wrong?

Sorry about this :rolleyes:

Hi, can you put this online somewhere? I’mm not familiar with TinyMCE :).

Okay, so the last time I used TinyMCE, the Javascript in the header looked something like this;

<script type="text/javascript">
	tinyMCE.init({
		mode : "exact",
		elements : "RecordDrawer18_Article_Input",
		theme : "advanced",
	});
</script>

RecordDrawer18_Article_Input” was the ID of a <textarea> in the form which I wanted TinyMCEed;

<form>
	<p>
		<input id="RecordDrawer18_Title_Input" />
	</p>
	<p>
		<textarea id="RecordDrawer18_Article_Input" style="width:98&#37;; height:400px;"></textarea>
	</p>
</form>

[FONT=“Georgia”]So there you have it. That’s how I styled the width and height of the TinyMCE editor. By styling the HTML element itself.
