I’m trying to figure out the best way to optimize content for Google Discover. Are Web Stories an effective approach, especially for newer blogs? Or should we avoid them and focus on “search results” only?
I’ve recently tried Web Stories for a few of my clients from different niches but haven’t had much success with them.
Would love to hear from anyone who’s had success with Google Discover—what worked for you, and what pitfalls should be avoided?

Web Stories can be compelling for Google Discover if they’re engaging and visually appealing, but they may not work for every niche or blog. Focus on creating high-quality, relevant content for Discover and search results, and avoid over-optimizing for one at the expense of the other.
This may help.

Thank you for the reply! I have tried everything, but now I am beginning to think that Discover is only for high or Reputed websites. Approx 15 stories showed on Discover if you scroll till last and 12 of them are from “News Media” websites. So I think the weightage of web stories has also been degraded by Google in recent days.
