I’ve found a wonderful CodeIgniter project which I’d like to use as part of my own application I’m currently planning to develop for a client. The software has been released under the LGPL license and I was wondering what this means for me? Can I use it as part of a piece of work I’m doing for a client? I’m obviously charging for my web development services, so I’m not creating a piece of software to sell, but I am being paid for putting the website together.
If anyones interested it’s BackendPro and from what I’ve seen so far it rocks as a platform developing on top of a CodeIgniter installation.
