Buttons desiging

i’ve designed a few photos for my site, nothing big, but i just wanted to know something, how do i make all the buttons have the same width? atm every button has different size which makes it kinda ugly
here’s the CSS code:

a:link {
color: #FFFFFF;
background-color: #009933;
font-size: 20px;
border: 5px outset #00FF00;
font-family: sans-serif;
text-transform: lowercase;
text-decoration: none;
}

a:visited {
color: #FFFFFF;
background-color: #009933;

font-size: 20px;
border: 5px outset #00FF00;
font-family: sans-serif;
text-transform: lowercase;
text-decoration: none;
}

a:hover{
color: #FFFFFF;
background-color: #009933;
font-size: 20px;
border: 5px inset #00FF00;
font-family: serif;
text-transform: lowercase;
text-decoration: none;
}

And an image of the buttons:

In your a:link, set the display property to inline-block, then set the width of your choice. The width of the image inside the anchor should be set to 100%. That should do the trick…

I have no idea what you just said. Maybe if you tried to explain your problem differently or more elaborately I would understand your problem?..

Hello I m also new to learning this field. can you please tell me that by selecting the properties of anchor text “a” how can we control the sieze of cutton? is there no property to give the width parameters of buttons?
