Best SEO software

Web Position Gold is sold through resellers, such as: http://www.web-positiongold.com/

WebTrends just purchased the company, so there is no telling how they will mess it up. =^)

People may say they use software or do it all manually. All the SEO people I know use a combination. There are things that software can do that will save you time and I think the purist (no-software) crowd are being slightly pompus when they tell you software is stupid. But let me share this with you – SEO is a highly manual task and there is no getting around it. So don’t expect a package that will tend to all your SEO needs the way MS Word tends to all your word processing needs.

I’ve read few articles and post here and avoided Gold primarily cos of Google’s attitude to auto submissions by Web Position Gold and even i found site submitted using that get liftime banned. Even PR shows ‘0’.

Hi:

Thanks  while reading your post i gave a search and found the VP. I invited her in this Post to share experience regarding advancedwebranking…I am sure , a decision is soon on its way…lets wait…

Thanks for your post. AWR contains a whole lot of features and report formats for SEO, but basically a Post SE submission tools. Basically a tool which can be used only after you website get listed by SE’s. Among few of my questions, first, I am from India, and I also wanted to see my site also get listed on few popular Indian SE’s. Does AWR database have Indian SE’s records? Secondly, are you planing to introduce any SE Submission softwares, if not in future, can you please recommend us among few best SE Submission + Optimisation softwares you know and works really well. I am looking forward for your opinion and any suggestions you have for my queries.

Thanks !

WebCrawler, I really think that SEM software is best suited for reporting rather than submission. If you want your sites to rank high in the search engines, there’s a lot more to it than just submission (for example: content, regular updates, link popularity, SEO, etc…).

There is no way that IBP and Addweb can be compared. They have completely different functionality. Addweb is a SE submission tool with fancy bells and wistles offering very little assistance to an SEO specialist. IBP has some great rank checking tools for multiple search engines and probable the most advantage is gained with it’s top10 rank checking tool that allows you to compare the keyword density and on-page factors of the top10 ranking sites compared to your site highlighting the primary differences on the search engine of your choice. Further I agree with the members stating that SEO should be done without the assistance of these software tools if you believe me perhaps I will have the edge and stay ahead of the rest.

Hy,
We have AltaVista, Google and MSN India but if you now other Indian SE please share with us and we’ll put them in our database.

Actually version 7 of Addweb added a lot of SEO tools.

This is true I am still on 6 and I must admit it looks like the upgrade to 7 is HUGE. I looked at a few of the features in Addweb and I must say I am impressed. I will upgrade shortly then I will be able to give my real opinion. It is just clear to me that very few SEO’s realise the potential of IBP but that isn’t my loss…

I am not shore if we planing to introduce any SE Submission softwares, but my suggestion is to make you SEO by hand - I deed the same. And it’s all right by now.

I wasn’t endorsing WPG. Someone above indicated they couldn’t find a link so I was just giving it to them.

I do my submissions by hand and have just used WPG for rank checking. WPG takes the brunt of the heat over its rank checking. Everyone says, “google hates it and they can ban you!” WPG is mentioned in on the google site as a no-no, but frankly, it’s no different than the tons of other rank checking programs like AddWeb and IBP, yet they get no heat over it.

The truth is this, google would be hard pressed to ban a site over a rank checker. If they did start doing that, then I’ll just do a rank check on my competitors sites every day till they get banned. Maybe they can sniff me personally by IP, but that’s OK too, because I have a cable connection with a dynamic IP. I’ll just restart my router and have a new IP that fast. So for all their huffing and puffing, Google won’t blow your house down over rank checking.

They’ll just ban your IP. They’ve done it before. But your site will be unaffected.

The reason why WPG is getting heat over their tools is that they are not willing to pay Google for the bandwidth they create. Most of the other tools is cooperating with Google and pay their account. I honestly can’t understand how a company that made such a usefull tool like WPG are able to stay in business with that attitude. I will not endorse their tool as it is a risk to use it on Google. You can use it to submit your sites though, just steer clear of the other tools! I prefer doing submissions manually at the moment, but a year ago I was responsable for 300+ sites and it was growing at a rate of 20 sites a month, I didn’t have a choice but to invest in submission software that enabled me to keep track of my submissions. My current results are much better because I am doing it manually and keep full control on who links to me.

I agree with Cahtmaster the manuall sumission is the best to reach your goals.

Uff ! for last two days I am unable to download a single file from Addweb and even their support system is not working. May be they are doing some major modification on entire systems. Just now i visited the download page using Netscape and downloaded awebpro.exe (0 byets). I wrote one mail to sales with no reply yet

Read what I said about IP banning. Too many people have dynamic IPs. Anyone with a cable connection, like me, has a dynamic IP. If they ban my IP, big deal. When I turn my PC on tomorrow I have a different IP. IP banning is a worthless solution to the problem.

WebCrawler, has AddWeb replied to your email yet?
Plz keep us updated about your hunt for ‘the best seo software’, as I’m also interested to buy one of these tools some day in the future.
Cheers!

Hy Irvin,
We didn’t heard a word from WebCrawler. What is he doing!

Within budget and AddWeb 7 is not a bad option at all !

Hy there!
