Beginner problems

Hi, im trying to follow along with the beginning php book and it asks to create a form and retrieve the info from the form.
I can get them all but the check boxes, I get one but think i should be doing something else as well

<h2>Welcome to the beginning of a form !! </h2>
<form action="myForm.php" method="post" >
<p>Please enter your name: <input type="text"  name="name" ></p>
<p>Please enter your Password: <input type="password" name="password" ></p>
<p>Select a car: <select name="cars" id="cars"  size="1">
	<option value="veyron">bugatti</option>
	<option value="ferrari">350F</option>
	<option value="subaru">STI</option>
	<option value="Jag">XJ6</option>

<p>Male: <input type="radio" name="sex" value="male" id="some_name">
	<br />
	Female: <input type="radio" name="sex" value="female" id="some_name">
		What do you drive car ? <input type="checkbox" name="vehicle" value="car" id="some_name">
		<br />
		What do you drive bike ? <input type="checkbox" name="vehicle" value="bike" id="some_name">
<p>Please comment on the quality of this form: <textarea name="message" rows="6" cols="30"></textarea></p>
<p><input type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" id="some_name"></p>

This is my php

	$name = $_POST['name'];
	$password = $_POST['password'];
	$car = $_POST['cars'];
	$gender = $_POST['sex'];
	$drive = $_POST['vehicle'];
	$comment = $_POST['message'];
	echo "Your name is $name "<br />" and your password is $password. You would like to drive $car, ow and you are $gender. Why do you drive $drive. The comment you left was $comment. "

its my $drive should i have an if statement?

Thank you

Using multiple checkboxes with the same name requires it to be an array, for example

<input type="checkbox" name="my_cars[]" value="Car A" />
<input type="checkbox" name="my_cars[]" value="Car B" />

then in your PHP script you would use

foreach($_POST['my_cars'] as $car){
    echo $car.'<br />';
