I’d put money that it will eventually replace the laptop as we know it. Just like the iPhone - why have a keyboard if you don’t need it? It’s just wasted space, especially when you can use that screen realty for something else when a keypad isn’t in use. It adds weight, complexity and more parts to fix and spill drinks and food into.
Obviously, we won’t start to see it overtake a traditional laptop until,
a) it isn’t so limited in it’s functionality (ie. running multiple apps simultaneously),
b) the hardware is upgraded to match a traditional laptop,
c) software makers adapt it as a legitimate marketplace
and d) the initial barrier to concept is overcome by users.
I’d wait until gen 3 or 4 at LEAST, before I’d expect it to start becoming common place. Look at how many generations of iPod it took before it really came into it’s own.
Has apple traditionally offered a few bucks for domains, or have they typically dropped the trademark hammer and swiped the domains? I seem to recall only hearing about the latter.
These domain name are not trademarks. You have nothing to worry about. But I suppose people will doubt about them and that’s why I suppose you will not be able to get more
They mind, esp. when you start making money with them. They’ve gone after a bunch of owners with Apple branded product names in the domains. Best to just stay away from these. As Dan said above - you’d be buying a liability.
