Avactis Cart - No longer recommending

I am dissatisfied with the Avactis Cart after my second implementation.

We had to purchase an upgrade after we learned that the shopping cart Password Reset feature didn’t work. Also, we had people complaining that their transaction never went through - apparently, there was a server timeout issue that we had no idea about. Avactis did fix that (at our cost, but not our fault). How many customers and sales we lost, we don’t know.

No response by them to do the cart upgrade at their cost. So, we purchase the upgrade to fix the password reset issue and have them install it but it still doesn’t work.

Ironically, when I try the password recovery feature in the Avactis discussion forum, it doesn’t work either. I’ve tried about a dozen times and it keeps saying I’m typing the the CAPTCHA code incorrectly.

I am losing confidence in Avactis’ ability support its customer base.

As far I see our supporter, answered you about password reset issue 5 days ago.

He answered this:


Please open Store Settings >> E-mail Notifications and enable notifications related to password reset. That should fix the problem.

So reason of the issue is your server configuration? Am I right?

I tested our forum and was able to reset password, I received this message:


An email containing further activation instructions has been sent. This email should be received within the next 10 minutes (usually instantly).

Quite possible that it could be a bug of some browser plugin you use.

Please disable all plugins you installed to your browser and test our forum once again.

Also I received email with password recovery instructions:

You have received this email because a user account password recovery
was instigated by you on Avactis Shopping Cart Forums.
