Instead of creating a webpage that works for a smartphone, I am thinking about writing a Blackberry app to learn about programming for mobile devices.
If you were a fan of a singer, what features would you want in the app?
I was thinking about an app that is calendar-like, which would show future gigs and links to buy tickets? Too boring?
I am open to ideas.
What about the ability to listen to a few of said artists tracks? Also maybe latest news about the artist, etc?
Good luck with the BB app. Blackberry UI is a mission, as there is no interface, everything must be done programmatically.

If you are partial to building web pages, you may want to look into PhoneGap. You’ll create your pages as HTML, CSS, and throw in any Javascript goodies you want. With PhoneGap, you’ll be able to port the pages over to Blackberry and Android (and the iPhone/iPad). You’ll still need to understand how the devices work so as to finalize the coding, but PhoneGap helps in the process. I’m starting to use it now.
