Anyone using the apple-touch-icon in their sites? Or an Opera Speed Dial icon?

I’m writing an article about their usage, and would love to see (and perhaps feature) some sites that use a dedicated icon for either or both. I read about the Apple touch icons in an article on Six Revisions by our guy Alex Dawson. Opera 11 uses a client-customizable icon if the designer/developer wants to use one.

SitePoint uses one (or something similar), as does [URL=“http://www.apple.com/”]Apple and [URL=“http://www.nbc.com/”]NBC.com. [URL=“http://www.iraqtimeline.com/maxdesign/”]So do I, as of this afternoon. Most sites don’t, even Apple’s iPhone and iPad sites.

Sing out if you’ve implemented one in one of your designs. Warning: you may get quoted and/or linked. Thanks!

I’m gonna take this as a “no.”

Why would anyone click on a Speed Dial button?

I always leave my old tabs alive in Opera, so I never get the Speed Dial page. Call me an old-fashioned Luddite, but I just type in URLs like a normal person.

Bet you code in overalls, Poes.

I code in my underwear, cigarette butts and old whisky bottles on the table, at 2am. In vi on a VT-100 terminal. Jesus Christ, I must be radiating awesome.

(no I’m just kidding; I don’t smoke)

That Commodore VIC-20 must keep the neighbors awake with all the rattling and squealing. You exude teh awesomez.
