Any way around Fake IPs?

Is there anyway to track down the real IP of a user who has the skills to Hide it???

I have a fake IP and the email they used to create the account

If anybody has any information to get around this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank You very much

I’m afraid it will be damn difficult to do so, especially if he uses good proxy

Well thanks anyways

Just figured I would try

That is pretty crazy that there is no way to get around Fake IPs

You mean how to track the original location of an email via its IP address ? I hope it migth help if that’s what you are looking for.

If by “fake” you mean a proxy, then yeah Hosting24 is right. Without a subpoena you’d need some incredible luck trace it. However, if this person is visiting your website and you know when it is and where they are, you can use Javascript/Java/PHP and many other scripting languages to reveal the real IP, but being a new user, I wouldn’t want to be sanctioned so soon for saying how

Google it up, you’d be surprised on how much information the average webmaster with analytical software has about their visitors.

You may want to use proxy. If you are using FF, go to Tools => Options => Advanced => Network => Settings. and change proxy there. Google proxy list for any anonymous proxy.

still no luck for me

I am so stupid when it comes to computers
If anybody can help me out at all…that would be great
This is the fake IP : 65.60.53.250
This is an email account he used :njaj12b@gmail.com

I don’t know if that could help, but thanks…U guys have at least gave me some hope, lol

the mail header would be more interesting to see

No Problem…here U go

The iP is “209.85.218.214” and it is coming up from Cally

It is a fake

Whoever this is, I do know there from either Jersey or NY

Bump

they can be from the moon too. That IP belongs to google and belongs to gmail.

To put it in simple words: you don’t have the IP of the sender, what you have is the IP of Gmail, - the IP belongs to Google and is the IP of their Gmail service in Mountain View CA.

The IP is real, but it’s the IP of the Gmail server and not the user. So you’re right, he/she can be from Jersey or NY; - or just about any place… so the conclusion have to be: You need the users IP, and not the IP of the webmail service he’s using.

this other IP you’ve provided (65.60.53.250) is belonging to singlehop.net (.com), which again is hosted by prolimehost.com in Dallas, which again is with cologuys.com Dallas. Bah, this is getting boring
Singlehop.com is registered in Chicago and is a provider of Dedicated servers, among other things. This does not mean the person using the IP is located in chicago, just that he used that IP, which is an easy thing to do. if he is working for them or host with them. So again, he/she can be from Jersey or NY here too

Is there any way if I post there real IPs, I can link it with the fake

I tell U one thing, I do have that

The Board Admid gave me the Ips from the 3 members that we all think it could be…

64.12.117.65
12.20.188.10
68.174.197.11

or these two

67.108.105.11
12.28.215.200

Is there a way to track down ones real IP…No, you cannot.
That is all to be said.

Tor is effective for a reason… you should consider having a more stringent registration process for what sounds like a forum site
