Interesting as AFAIK most plugins do a complete copy of the database irrespective of categories/titles.

So, sorry. I’m not being helpful, but I too would be interested in knowing about any plugins that allow for custum export.

I know under tools > export > select posts. Then you can choose a specific category, author and date range, and post status to export posts and their content to an .xml file that can then be reimported into another install using tools > import and installing the wordpress importer, but am unsure if this does what you are looking for.

Hi RetroNetro, am looking for a custom plugin and not the default one as it doesn’t quite do what I’m looking to have.

Why not just create a template that outputs the data you want to screen, then copy/paste the data and save in a text file?
