I have build website, for employment. I see users coming browsing, but no one want to sign up. From 150 people who came to website, 0 signups. They have average 3 page views.
Usually users land http://www.buildinghollywood.com/search and browse jobs, and no one signed up to contact employees. The employees use different process to post, so they are doing find. But job seekers don’t sign up.
I thought the website was actually pretty well designed and worked as expected. The only issue I came across was a single job posting outside the target area. You’re probably competing with several other websites that rank better in search results because they have been around longer and have a larger user base.
Thanks for feedback. I will email to the job poster to see what is going on with listing.
I am just surprised from 150 people who visited the site, no single one signup and contacted employees.
We have contact with more employees around area, but I can not ask them post more jobs if they are not going to get candidates applying.
I’ve only had time for a quick look, but the thing that would make me hesitant to sign up is the lack of information about the site itself. By that I mean that there is no contact information, beyond an email address, and nothing about the company behind the site. In the ToS, I found the information that the site is owned by Building Hollywood, Inc, but there’s nothing anywhere to tell me who they are, where they’re based, etc. I want to know these things before I hand over my personal information.
I also find the list of “Partner Sites” which are unrelated to the building trade a bit off-putting. To my mind, it makes the site look less serious.
I can’t speak for anybody else, but popovers annoy lumps out of me. If you must use one, at least make sure it can be easily dismissed by keyboard as well as by mouse.
