Any danger to formatting HTML markup with CR for large text entry

I"m just Learning HTML and using TEXTMATE editor on a Mac.
When entering long paragraphs of text I would prefer to use the CR (return key)as the line nears the right edge of the page so that the text indents below the <P> rather than wrapping to the left margin. I find the indented text makes it much easier to view and edit my markup.

The Browser seems to handle it fine but I wonder if I am setting myself up for trouble when I get to more advanced page structuring with CSS etc.

Looking for advise before I develop bad habits.

All browsers will just ignore the extra whitespace.

Thanks for the info
