Another bug with phpmyadmin

I tried to update a phone # field though phpmyadmin,

1920×1080 145 KB

Why does the change seem to not take effect in the table?

Does the CREATE TABLE have the field as a String type field eg. VARCHAR ?

I dont think so, if I check out the structure of the table,

1920×1080 239 KB

the data type is innt(25)
Would that be the problem?
