Will analytics (javascript) register tracking on an internal redirect page, asking this, since, it may be questionable if the page even fully loads before sending the visitor off to another url. Less than 1 sec.
clickable link > internal page (analytics) having header redirect > external site
Well now that I’ve tested it I can say that analytics will not track such as page.
So next I will try attaching this to the link:
[URL=“http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55527”]http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55527
In the example the ‘outgoing/example_com’ is arbitrary right?
I can call this anything without any conventions?
This doesn’t work either.
Do you have to track the click in Analytics (I know it would be best), or could you use a third party tool?
It looks like I’ll have to use a third party tool, on one link.
