I have a new webmaster and web development blog and I am currently looking at different revenue generating alternatives.
Do you think adsense is the best option for a webmaster blog ?
Are there any other viable alternatives ?
What do you think are additional revenue generation methods in addition to adsense ?
I would also appreciate your placement tips for adsense banners. I feel that webmasters are one of the groups which click on the ads the least since they are from the “business” and do not pay much attention to ads.
Thanks in advance for all your comments and suggestions.
I have been using Clicksor on some of my site with some good results, the one that i least use is Bidvertiser as the revenue that they pay is terrible the only good advantage with the latter is they do pay with PayPal but if you dont earn much whats the point in using it ???
Try intext ads like Infolinks, Konetra. Secondly, promote affiliate products related to web design (SEO tools, themes/plugins, graphic tools, ebooks on programming)…There are lot of scope for a web design blog to monetize !
I’ve been Viglink for a while now, whith some success. In short, Viglink turns regular links on your web site into affiliate links. You only have to subscribe to their program and implement some code. I wrote a review for WordPress websites, but you can use Viglink also for other kinds of web sites. You can find the review here.
Well, there are many Ad Networks which you can use together with AdSense. There is one in my signature - they pay per impressions, which I think is a good way if you are not sure that your ads would be clicked much.
But to sign up as a Publisher you have to be getting a decent amount of traffic - that’s the rule for any network.
