Adding images

I am brand new to html and css. I am reading Ian Lloyd’s book “Build Your Own Website the Right Way Using html and css”. I am at the section of the book (page 48 & 49) that describes how to insert an image. It gives me the code but then says “Go and grab divers-circle.jpg from the code archive and put it into your website’s folder.” But there are no instructions on how to do this. How do I “go and grab” a photo and “put it into” my website’s folder. I don’t even know where my website’s folder is. Wish this was explained in the book beyond “grab and put”. Any help is appreciated.

To “grab” the file, you can download the code archive and unzip it.

*You should also check out the Corrections & Typos page to save yourself from some trouble.

After that you need to know your file system structure. i.e. where you unzipped the files. You can navigate to them using your text editor to read them, but you are going to want to use your OS “explorer” to be able to move files around.
