Adding captcha to html generated submit form

I have a html generated form, that is my form resides in a .html file and not a php file. I want to add a captcha to it but it seems like a lot of the examples out there are for forms that were setup in .php pages…

Anyone have a link to a tutorial that I’m seeking? Thanks

If you have a php enabled web server, you can put html content in a php file.
The syntax is simple:

<?php
// php content

?>
<html>
<head>
<title>test</title>
</head>
<body>
Html content here...
<?php
// php content again here

?>
</body>
</html>

Somebody correct if I’m wrong, but I don’t think it’s possible to do a CAPTCHA in just html without changing mime types on the server. If there was one it wouldn’t be very effective as a spam bot could just read the CAPTCHA code in the source code.
