Adding articles to my product pages

Hi guys

I regularly write articles for my site, thing is my site has limitations and I can’t create custom pages to add these articles to. So would I still get seo benefit from just adding the article under a product description?

Say the article was about red apples and I placed the article under one of my red apple products.

What you would almost always get is people going off the product page, reading about red apples, then never returning. Lower sales.

On the product page, sell. Don’t write the definitive generic article about red apples, sell red apples with copy, not articles.

Based on what’s on your site, you need copy. Not separate pages, right there on your existing product page. Most systems allow that.

Is this a site with an actual shopping cart, on when you say product page you mean a product page with details on it only?

I agree that on a product page you should sell… Sure maybe you can add another smaller page with product description, but even that should not be extensive. Distribute your articles and build backlinks to your product pages.

Best to write original articles, so your speed, high rankings, I often write articles <snip> currently has 500 articles. I hope you can give me to write several articles, thank you

Uh huh. Me too also. You get fixed goodly for long time.

…Anyway. What can you do with articles? You can experiment with an upsell.

For instance, if you sell window shades and such, you can explain the advantages of a full “window treatment” in your articles. This may pull together several products and suggest an application the piecemeal customer never thought of.

What shirt goes with that tie? What exactly does it take to build that Victorian styled bird house? Can a window treatment increase the resale value of your home? By suggesting what several of your products could do when combined, you can boost your sales dramatically.

Why not use your product page and add a sales type article. I am not talking about hard sale, but using information to sell. You don’t want to lose the sale but keep your SEO intact.

Otherwise it sounds like you need new software for your site that will let you do both.
