AddIcon Precedence

I’m using mod_autoindex to do FancyIndexing and I’m having an icon conflict. This web server is virtually hosting a folder/file tree. Because of an unfortunate and unchangeable aspect of this tool, some of the directory names end in “.zip”
Thus, this sequence of AddIcon commands results in “zip.png” getting applied to folder items:

AddIcon /icons/compressed.gif .tar .tgz .rar .zip .ZIP
AddIcon /icons/blank.gif ^^BLANKICON^^
AddIcon /icons/dir.png ^^DIRECTORY^^
DefaultIcon /icons/text.png

Reordering the commands doesn’t fix the issue:

AddIcon /icons/blank.gif ^^BLANKICON^^
AddIcon /icons/dir.png ^^DIRECTORY^^
AddIcon /icons/compressed.gif .tar .tgz .rar .zip .ZIP
DefaultIcon /icons/text.png

It seems like the ^^DIRECTORY^^ attribute always loses the precedence battle with an explicitly specified extension.

Is there anyway to have ^^DIRECTORY^^ win all the time?
