Add Remember Me checkbox to login

How is this done?

I’m currently using just straight HTML for my login control, and client inquired about adding a “remember me” check box.

I’m assuming it’s not HTML but some JS or PHP?

Any ideas?

FYI: The login is in the header of every page, so it’s not it’s own separate page

That feature usually uses cookies to recognise the user.

I know how it is used and what cookies does, how do I make it happen by adding a remember me checkbox? As of now I’m just using straight html for my login

			<div id="login">
				<form class="login" method="post" action="http://member.facetofacetutoring.com/login/">
				<div><label class="label" for="email">email</label><input class="box" type="text" name="email" id="email" size="" maxlength="" /></div>
				<div><label class="label" for="password">password</label><input class="box" type="password" name="password" id="password" size="" maxlength="" /></div>
				<div class="button"><input type="submit" name="submit" value="Log in" /></div></form>
				<p class="signuptxt">Don't have an account? <a class="link" href="contact.html">Sign up today!</a></p>
			</div><!-- End Login -->

You will probably need to use PHP and sessions so perhaps this post needs moving… Assuming you mean the actual function and not the ‘check box’ control.

Thread moved to PHP forum

Thanks for the move!

Does anyone have a php script for this?
