Add posts in a different section or to page

http://html5based.com is one of my website, it’s showcasing HTML5 websites. gallery website’s thumbnails/posts on the home page. I want to add a section say “HTML5 Resources” which will have list of resources/articles titles and a little blurb may be and lead to the websites which are publishing such as Smashing magazine/ Sitepoint etc.

Currently if I add a post by default it gets published in the home page which I need anyway. Is there anyway I can add post and will be able to choose a page or another location they get publish.

(I posted this on another forum and but got no response yet, hoping someone can point me to the right direction)

Without looking at WP Admin I thought you could designate which page you want the post associated with?

Thanks for responding to my post.

I want to have 2 kind of posts,

  1. posts related to gallery which appears on the landing page - for this i will be posting thumbnails/ large images some info of a submitted website.

  2. posts related to various resources

Post related to 1 should appear on the home page and shouldn’t be on Resource page
Post related to 2 should apprer on resource page and shouldn’t be on Home Page or may be better this posts will not have view to click more just a link and blurb about the topic and will be pointed to the actual website.

with the current configuration both (1 or 2) appears on the homepage.

Is that doable? Appreciate your help and time.
