Actual Business Card Size?

Hey guys,

My print teacher is telling me that business cards are not supposed ot be 3.5" by 2".

I’ve tried looking around and the only other size that they print business cards in are 3.5” x 2.125”.

Does anybody know what the True size for standard business cards?

Oh and I couldn’t find a print section on the forum so if you need to move this thread go for it.

Thanks,
Mario

Check it out.
Common BC dimensions - are listed here.

I’ve always preferred 85 × 55mm (3.346 × 2.165 inches) as a standard size for the Business cards. ANd don’t forget to leave 5mm of wasted background from each side (bleed).

Thanks for the help guys, it’s just what I was looking for.

Everything I’ve done for US customers has been 3.5 x 2

Oops, I missed pathliners post…that answers everything.

I’m familiar with 50x90 mm format

yep, it is designed at 50x90mm on the screen and when it goes to the printer it bleeds and becomes 85x55mm!
