400 Bad Request on fsockopen

Hi! I’ve read the theard from http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?717526-400-Bad-Request but unfortunately i was not able to solve my problem.
I try to send data with the following code:

$post_data = 'cod=bob&telefon=0744444444&email=test@tt.ro&acord_regulament=1&marketing=1';
$socket = fsockopen("delikat-40-2014-api.syscomdigital.ro", 80, $errno, $errstr, 15);
if(!$socket){
	echo ' error: ' . $errno . ' ' . $errstr;
	die;
}else{

	$http  = "POST https://delikat-40-2014-api.syscomdigital.ro/participa SSL/1.1\\r\
";
	$http .= "Host: delikat-40-2014-api.syscomdigital.ro\\r\
";
	$http .= "User-Agent: " . $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] . "\\r\
";
	$http .= "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\\r\
";
	$http .= "Content-length: " . strlen($post_data) . "\\r\
";
	$http .= "Connection: close\\r\
\\r\
";
	$http .= $post_data . "\\r\
\\r\
";
        print_r($post_data);
	fwrite($socket, $http);
	$contents = "";
	while (!feof($socket)) {

		$contents .= fgets($socket, 4096);
	}
        echo "<br />".$contents;
	fclose($socket);
}

but the reponse is 400 Bad Request.

Do you have any idea about what did i do wrong?

Don’t you need to connect to a different port than the default http one if you’re posting to https? I did a quick google and found this page that talks about a similar requirement: http://paulbradley.tv/26/
