Heads up, Aussies! In April and May, I’m hitting the road to teach JavaScript workshops all around Australia, and I’d love to see some of the SitePoint crowd there when I do!

In case you don’t know me, I’m the co-author of Simply JavaScript and host of the SitePoint Podcast. I also help write the SitePoint Tech Times newsletter, and manage the motley crew of developers who put SitePoint together.

Released in 2007, Simply JavaScript was widely praised not only for its practical approach to learning JavaScript by tackling real-world problems, but for its entertaining style and highly visual approach to communicating key concepts. In many ways, it’s the piece of writing I’m most proud of, and I’m really excited about getting to take that material on the road and present it in a whole new way, refreshed and revamped for 2010!

On each stop of the tour, I will be presenting a half-day Introduction to JavaScript (for complete JavaScript newbies) followed by a full-day JavaScript in Depth workshop. Here are the dates:

  • Melbourne: April 12th-13th
  • Sydney: April 19th-20th
  • Canberra: May 3rd-4th
  • Brisbane: May 10th-11th

Check out the workshops site for all the details, and be sure to leave a comment here to let me know if you’re coming!
