Though we didn’t take top prize, SitePoint was in good company among the two other finalists for the Hewlett Packard E-Business award at the 2008 ActionCOACH MyBusiness Awards. SitePoint was chosen as a finalist from among 500 entrants, which we’re very proud of.

SitePoint’s Marketing Manager Shayne Tilley, Web Developer Alex Walker, and co-founder Mark Harbottle (pictured left to right below) attended the posh awards gala last Friday night at the Doltone House, in Sydney on behalf of SitePoint along with the other finalists.

Though we didn’t come home with the top prize, we feel honored to be chosen as a finalist along with so many other impressive companies. We’d like to extend a congratulations to Service Central, who won the award we were up for.

Shayne Tilley accepts a door prize on behalf of SitePoint — sadly, all we would win that night.

It was a great night, and although we got to go to the dinner, this absolutely awesome SitePoint community are the real ones that deserve the pat on the back!

Now to delete that REALLY bad photo of me.
